Lightning Resistant Drain Valves
Flush type fuel drain valve that is spring loaded and locked closed and may be locked open. A secondary
seal permits primary O-ring replacement with fuel in the tank. This valve in a proper installation has been qualified to withstand a Zone
1A lightning strike per SAE-AE4L committee report "Lightning Test Waveforms and Techniques for Aerospace Vehicles and Hardware."
