Specialized Ball Valves

Here is a small sample of the unique valves Auto-Valve has designed and manufactured for a variety of customers. If you require a more specialized design, our team of engineers can collaborate with you to satisfy your needs. Contact our sales or engineering staff for more information.

All of our valves can be manufactured from a variety of materials and seals.

72C-10C

Right Angle Shutoff Valve
Space requirements dictated right angle inlet and outlet ports. It controls aviation gasoline at 0-30 PSIG with a low operating torque of 2 inch-pounds maximum. The valve is all aluminum and stainless steel with MIL-P-5315 O-rings and Teflon and Buna-N main seals. Both right hand and left hand configurations are available.

72C-36R

Fuel Drain Valve
This right angle drain valve has a flanged port with a groove for an O-ring seal. The outlet port is standard MS33656E8 fitting. The valve is operated by a 1-inch diameter knurled knob which is spring loaded. The vale will not lock open, and when the knob is released, the valve snaps shut. These features plus extra heavy construction make the valve crashworthy.

72D-16R

Defog Valve
This valve was designed to control hot bleed air used for defogging. It operates within a pressure range of 0-60 PSIG at 395°F. Manual stops are provided at the full open and full closed positions but the valve will remain set in any intermediate position. The valve is placed behind the aircraft control panel with a shaft extension for manual operation.

72DA0024

Bleed Air Shutoff Valve
This titanium valve operates within a temperature range of -65°F to 500°F. It operates within a pressure range of 0-90 PSIG at 250°F. The stainless steel and titanium construction ensure high durability with a minimum of weight.

Standard Ball Valves

A compact, economical design, and durability are hallmarks of AVI ball valve design.
Patented one piece Teflon-on-Synthetic rubber ball seals ensure long lasting, low torque operation and a stable seal regardless of flow direction.

Our line of standard valves can be manufactured from a variety of materials and seals for air, fuel, oil, and water systems.
